Bio

Becky has been practicing yoga for over 20 years. She was initially drawn to yoga as a low-impact way to build strength and balance in her body. She found that connecting movement with breath invigorates the body and has a calming effect on the mind. With regular practice she noticed improvements in her physical, mental and emotional well-being. She was calmer, more patient, less stressed and felt better.

Her yoga practice deepened after severe injuries sidelined her from the usual asana practice. During recovery, she began to explore meditation, pranayama and yoga philosophy which inspired her to do teacher training. In 2019, she earned a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification at Samadhi Yoga in Denver, CO. In 2023, she completed a therapeutic focused 300-hour Advanced Teacher Training at PranaYoga & Ayurveda Mandala Training Center. She is currently working toward 1000-hour Yoga Therapy certification at Practice Yoga Austin, specializing in Yoga Therapy for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). She is registered as an RYT-500 with Yoga Alliance.

Becky has experienced deep healing and significant improvements to her overall health through yoga. She enjoys sharing the “magic of yoga” and learning from her teachers, students and clients. She offers weekly group classes and private sessions.
